Drug Testing

Drug testing can be an important clinical tool in substance use treatment and recovery support. At Solstice Counseling & Wellness Centers, testing is used to help inform treatment planning, support accountability, monitor progress, and identify risks that may require additional support.

Testing is handled with professionalism, confidentiality, and a focus on clinical care rather than judgment.

A Clinical Tool for Treatment

Drug testing may help the treatment team understand substance use patterns, identify relapse risks, support medication safety, and respond quickly when additional care is needed. Results can also help guide conversations about triggers, cravings, coping strategies, and level-of-care needs.

When testing is part of a client’s treatment plan, our team explains the purpose and how results may be used.

Fast, Coordinated Results

Solstice uses testing as part of an integrated treatment process. When results are available quickly, the clinical team can respond more effectively and make timely decisions about counseling, care coordination, medication management, relapse prevention, and safety planning.

Testing may also be coordinated with approved referral sources when the client has authorized communication or when program requirements apply.

Respectful and Confidential Process

We understand that drug testing can feel stressful or sensitive. Our staff works to provide a respectful process that protects privacy and keeps the focus on recovery, safety, and appropriate care.

Drug testing policies and frequency may vary based on program, clinical need, payer requirements, referral source, and applicable regulations.
