Orientation helps clients understand what to expect, how the program works, and how to get connected with the right members of the treatment team.
What Orientation Covers
New Client Orientation may review program schedules, attendance expectations, confidentiality, communication, transportation, available services, drug testing policies, group participation, medication-related services, and how to ask for help when questions come up.
Clients may also learn about counseling options, care coordination, recovery resources, and next steps after admission.
Helping Clients Start Strong
The first days of treatment are important. Orientation gives clients a chance to understand the structure of care, reduce uncertainty, and begin building a relationship with the team.
It also helps identify practical barriers early, such as transportation, scheduling, insurance, technology access, or outside obligations.
For Families and Referral Sources
With appropriate authorization, Solstice can help families, courts, probation, healthcare providers, and other referral partners understand how clients are getting connected to care and what general program expectations apply.
Orientation supports a smoother transition into treatment and helps clients know who to contact for different needs.
